Founded in 2015 in Romania, ROVISOPTICS SRL is a specialized company focused on manufacturing optical components and precision equipment, as well as developing advanced technologies in the fields of medical sensing and industrial applications.

ROVISOPTICS SRL is actively involved in the SESMED project — “System based on Artificial Intelligence and Optical, Photonic, and Electrochemical Sensors for Monitoring Wastewater in High-Risk Environments.”
Our laboratory specializes in microfabrication and vacuum deposition technologies, contributing to the design and development of electrochemical sensors for detecting chemical and biological species in complex liquid environments.
At this stage of the project, the focus is on defining and validating key technologicl processes — including thin-film deposition, thermal evaporation, lithography, and electrode configuration — to ensure precise and reproducible sensor performance.
The ROVISOPTICS facility is fully equipped for vacuum coating, morphological and optoelectronic characterization, microprocessing, and surface treatment, allowing complete sensor fabrication from substrate preparation to final assembly under controlled conditions.
This work is carried out in close collaboration with INOE 2000, which provides scientific expertise and optical validation of prototypes.
Together, the partners are building an integrated sensing platform capable of delivering real-time, accurate data on wastewater quality and the presence of hazardous compounds.
Research Activities
A modular three-electrode architecture (working, reference, counter) tailored for complex liquid media. Thin-film Au/Pt and functional layers (e.g., oxides, conductive polymers) boost selectivity and stability for environmental analytes.
old/silver thin films and diffractive structures for label-free optical detection. SPR readout captures minute refractive-index changes, enabling sensitive chemical and bio-agent monitoring.
End-to-end flow: substrate prep, PVD/CVD/PECVD/HiPIMS deposition, photolithography, and lift-off. Protective DLC/AR/ITO coatings and nanolayers engineered for harsh wastewater conditions.
Optical/electrical characterization, durability and adhesion testing, and method validation with research partners. Results feed design iterations and field deployment across high-risk environments.
